Role Overview

As a DevOps Engineer, Associate at Deutsche Bank, you will support and manage enterprise-grade cloud infrastructure, build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, and ensure high availability and reliability of production workloads. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong foundation in public cloud, container orchestration, and DevOps automation, who are eager to grow in a global, agile, and multi-cultural environment.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud & Infrastructure Management

- Manage and support GCP cloud infrastructure

- Handle enterprise production workloads on major cloud platforms

- Troubleshoot cloud and network-related issues

- Ensure system availability, performance, and scalability

CI/CD & Automation

- Maintain and enhance CI/CD pipelines

- Work with tools such as Jenkins, TeamCity, GitHub, GitHub Runners

- Implement task automation using Terraform, Helm, and Shell scripting

- Support infrastructure-as-code and deployment automation

Containerization & Orchestration

- Work with Kubernetes (any flavor) in production environments

- Support container management tools such as Istio, Consul, and Nomad

- Assist with containerized application deployments and operations

Monitoring & Incident Management

- Monitor system health and performance

- Respond to incidents and operational issues

- Maintain high operational standards under tight deadlines

Collaboration & Agile Practices

- Work closely with product owners, architects, scrum masters, project managers, and development teams

- Operate in a cross-functional, multi-language, multi-culture environment

- Follow agile methodologies and DevOps best practices

- Demonstrate a solution-oriented and continuous improvement mindset

Required Skills & Experience

Essential Skills

- Deep understanding of public cloud platforms (GCP preferred)

- Strong experience with enterprise production workloads

- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, TeamCity, GitHub)

- Proficiency in Terraform, Helm, Shell scripting

- Strong Kubernetes knowledge, ideally with production experience

- Ability to troubleshoot cloud, network, and infrastructure issues

Programming & Scripting

- Shell scripting (mandatory)

- Python and/or .NET Core / Java (good to have)

Languages

- English (Required)

- German (Optional)
