IBM is hiring Software Developer Interns to work on next-generation cloud and data platforms. This role is ideal for students and fresh graduates passionate about software development, cloud technologies, microservices, and scalable systems.

Salary & Package Details

- India Internship Stipend: ₹25,000 – ₹45,000 per month (industry standard, based on location and skills)

- Abroad Equivalent (Reference): $2,000 – $3,500 per month (for similar IBM intern roles globally)

Job Responsibilities

- Hands-on coding to develop next-generation data processing platforms

- Support co-creators and contributors using the platform

- Participate in the full software development lifecycle: design, coding, CI/CD, unit testing

- Self-learn and adopt new technologies required for platform development

- Apply object-oriented design principles and best coding practices

- Perform peer code reviews to ensure quality, standards, and maintainability

- Work with concurrent programming models and scalable architectures

Skills Required

- Strong foundation in Core Java and/or Python

- Object-Oriented Analysis & Design (OOAD) and Design Patterns

- Data Structures, Algorithms, and complexity analysis

- Experience with unit testing (xUnit frameworks, mocks, stubs)

- Familiarity with Git and Linux

- Exposure to Microservices (REST/gRPC), Docker, Kubernetes

- Basic understanding of NoSQL, Big Data, and Cloud platforms

Eligibility & Experience

- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field

- Open to students, freshers, and internship candidates

- Academic or project experience in product development preferred

- Strong willingness to learn, problem-solve, and take ownership
