About the Role

As an SRE Intern, you will help monitor, maintain, and improve the availability and performance of LeadSquared’s production environments. You will work closely with DevOps, InfoSec, and Engineering teams, focusing on incident management, observability, root cause analysis (RCA), and automation, while gaining hands-on experience with industry-leading monitoring tools and AWS services.

Key Responsibilities

- Monitor availability, reliability, and performance of production SaaS environments

- Support incident management, emergency responses, and timely issue mitigation

- Track incidents and perform root cause analysis (RCA) with preventive actions

- Assist in capacity planning for AWS cloud infrastructure

- Collaborate with DevOps, InfoSec, and Engineering teams to improve system reliability

- Work with customers occasionally to address infrastructure availability concerns

- Build and improve observability, monitoring, alerting, and automated incident response

- Use best-in-class tools such as:

- New Relic, Grafana, Loggly, Kibana

- PagerDuty, Site24x7, FreshService, SumoLogic, AKAMAI

- Work with AWS services including:

- EC2, ECS, RDS, Redis, Lambda, VPCs, Elasticsearch (ELK), SQS

Key Requirements

- Degree in Computer Science or related field

- 0–1 year experience or hands-on exposure in SRE / DevOps / Cloud roles

- Experience with AWS-based cloud environments

- Hands-on exposure to:

- Monitoring & observability

- Alerts and incident management

- RCA and post-incident documentation

- Experience monitoring multi-tenant SaaS environments

- Ability to debug and troubleshoot production application and infrastructure issues

- Knowledge of SRE best practices

- Experience gathering and analyzing OS and application performance metrics

- Strong documentation and communication skills

- Proactive mindset toward performance bottlenecks and improvements

Good to Have Skills

- Programming/scripting experience in Python

- Exposure to AWS services (EC2, RDS, Lambda, API Gateway, Redis, Elasticsearch)

- AWS or ITIL certifications

- Experience working in fast-paced, high-availability production environments

- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional engineering teams
